Caribbean Leaders Meet Obama

He's perhaps the most popular politician in the world. The US President Barack Obama has been meeting with Caribbean leaders at the 5th Summit of the Americas taking place in Trinidad and Tobago.

Some of the regional leaders, like St Lucia's own Prime Minister - Stephenson King, have been waiting for months for this opportunity, to finally meet and greet the first black US President.

The two-day meeting has been dominated by the thorny issue of US-Cuba relations, even though Cuba is not attending the gathering.

However, Mr. Obama did take some time off his busy schedule to meet saparetly with CARICOM leaders on the first evening of the gathering...

Hope they had a fruitful meeting focusing on the issues that are important to the region, such as crime, security and trade.
